We've been talking about Web 2.0 — computer programs sometimes called "web apps" or web services" on the Mindware forum. These kinds of new technology software on a server has popped up on a number of posts, most of them you probably did not think of the posts as being web 2.0 but they fit the model. Some recent ones include on on HipCal and Remember the Milk.
The review article, The Best of Web 2.0 is the best of all the review articles I've seen about Web 2.0. There are the "sticky" Web 2.0 apps, ones I've come back to again and again. The article doesn't cover some of the topics like calendars and to-do lists. But the ones covered which include photos, video, online word processors, social bookmarking, newsreaders , start pages, collaboration tools, chat and more are defiantly the ones I would also recommend.
Another aspect of these services that is great is that they are (at their entry level) all free!
