When I posted earlier this month about the software program Brainworks, some people got a bit confused about that software and our online application which is also called Brainworks.
Well the reason they are similar is that the online version was developed from the software. We had so many people who asked us for a version of the software that would work on Macintosh or Linux as well as Windows that we developed the online version.
Brainworks our popular left-right hemisphere brain test is featured in McGraw-Hill's book Peak Performance: Success in College and Beyond by Sharon K. Ferrett. The book has an online resource site you can use in conjunction with the book, Our Brainworks is the number one resource listed on their feature rich companion web site right on the top of Chapter 1.
The Peak Performance web site is designed to be a learning guide for the book. However, there are a lot of free interactive tests and other material that can are quite useful on their own.
The Brainworks test (also known as the "brain persuasion test) has become quite popular with bloggers and it is not uncommon to see people take the test and put their results on their blog. Searching for links to the test on Google's new Blog Search Engine, I got 173 links.
One example is an entry on Mike Rundell's blog called "Right or Correct". A lot of people had fun with our test.
You get a take on your personality which is very different that traditional tests like the Myers-Briggs. It is free to use and can taken from almost any web browser on computers running an operating system.
